1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Aurora Tube ("Aurora Tube", "we", "us"). By installing or using the Aurora Tube extension, the Aurora Tube Helper app, this website or an Aurora Pro subscription (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Aurora Tube is a download manager and creator workspace for Google Chrome. It is made up of:

  • The Aurora Tube Chrome extension, which, when the "Download every file with Aurora" setting is on, hands the files you download in Chrome to the Aurora Tube Helper. It also detects videos on the public video pages you visit and provides the workspace features: Creator Desk, Focus mode, the mini player, screenshot and frame capture, clips, bookmarks with timestamps and notes, and the local library.
  • Aurora Tube Helper, a small Windows app that runs on your own PC. It downloads the files you start in Chrome (for example zip archives, installers, PDFs, ISO images and videos) over several parallel connections, supports pause, continue and resume, saves them to your Downloads folder and lists them in the Download Manager. It also saves video (MP4) and audio (MP3) from public video pages you choose.
  • An Aurora Tube account, created by signing in with Google, which records your plan (Free or Aurora Pro).
  • Optional cloud backup of your workspace to your own Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox account.

Aurora Tube does not host, store, sell or redistribute any files or videos. Every download is made by the Helper on your own computer, directly from the website you are using, at your request.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use online services without parental consent. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you and must make any purchase.

You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity on your Aurora Tube account and for keeping access to your devices and Google account secure. One Aurora Pro subscription is for one person. Do not share your account or try to get around plan limits.

4. Your license to use Aurora Tube

Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension and the Helper for the features included in your plan.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the software; remove or hide its notices; or copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer it, except where the law expressly allows this despite this restriction.

5. Acceptable use and your responsibility for content

Aurora Tube is a tool. You decide what to download, and you are responsible for having the right to download and use it.

You may

  • Download files that the website or publisher offers for you to download, such as software, documents and media, within that website's terms.
  • Download videos and audio that you own, that you created, or that you have permission from the rights holder to download and use.
  • Download content that is licensed for downloading (for example, under a Creative Commons or similar license), within the terms of that license.

You must not

  • Use Aurora Tube to infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or any other rights of another person.
  • Upload, share, sell or otherwise redistribute content you downloaded unless you have the rights to do so.
  • Use Aurora Tube in breach of the terms of service of the website you are downloading from. Each platform has its own rules, and you must follow them.
  • Bypass, remove or try to defeat DRM, encryption, paywalls or any other technical protection. Aurora Tube does not support this, and DRM-protected streaming services (such as Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+) are blocked.
  • Access private or restricted content that you are not authorised to view.
  • Use the download manager to overload a website's servers, or to get around its sign-in, access controls or paywalls.
  • Use Aurora Tube to collect personal data about other people in bulk, to harass anyone, or for any unlawful purpose.
  • Get around the Free plan's daily limit, share one Aurora Pro subscription between several people, or interfere with our servers, licensing or security.
If you are not sure whether you have the right to download something, do not download it. We may suspend or end access for accounts that use Aurora Tube to infringe the rights of others.

6. Third-party websites and services

Aurora Tube downloads files from the websites you choose, and works with public video pages on third-party sites such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and Vimeo. Aurora Tube is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of these platforms. Their names are trademarks of their owners.

We do not control those sites. They can change how they work at any time, which may stop a feature from working on a particular site until we update Aurora Tube. We are not responsible for the content on third-party sites.

Sign-in with Google, cloud backup to Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox, and payments through Paddle are provided by those companies under their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Plans, subscriptions and billing

Plans

  • Free: unlimited ordinary file downloads through the download manager (2 connections per file, with pause, continue and resume), 10 video or audio saves a day (up to 720p), a bulk preview of the first 5 videos of a list, the Download Manager list and history, and the core workspace tools, at no cost.
  • Aurora Pro: accelerated downloads over 8 connections per file, unlimited video and audio saves in every quality (including 1080p, 4K and MP3 320 kbps), full bulk downloads of channels, playlists and profiles, batch capture and priority updates. Available as a subscription billed monthly, every 3 months or yearly, at the price shown on our Pricing page and at checkout.

Paddle is our Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles checkout and payment, calculates and collects sales tax and VAT, issues invoices and receipts, and handles billing enquiries and returns. When you buy Aurora Pro, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Aurora Tube does not see or store your full card details.

Automatic renewal

Aurora Pro plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly, 3 months or yearly), and Paddle charges your payment method for the next period, until you cancel. The price and billing period are shown clearly before you pay.

Price changes

We may change Aurora Pro prices in the future. A new price will not affect a period you have already paid for. If the price of your subscription changes, we or Paddle will tell you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails and is not fixed, your account returns to the Free plan. Your local workspace is not deleted.

Plan features

We may improve or adjust features over time. If we change the Free plan's daily limit or remove a major Aurora Pro feature, we will announce it on this website or in the extension before the change takes effect.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel Aurora Pro at any time using the subscription link in your Paddle email or by contacting us. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and you keep Aurora Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.

Your first Aurora Pro purchase comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee. Refunds are processed by Paddle. Full details are in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information Aurora Tube processes and how. In short: your workspace is stored locally in your browser, downloads happen on your PC, we do not sell your data and we do not show ads. You can delete your data at any time; see Data deletion.

10. Ownership

Aurora Tube's software, design, name, logo and documentation belong to Aurora Tube and are protected by law. These Terms do not give you any ownership of them.

Your notes, bookmarks, categories and other workspace content belong to you. Files, videos and audio you download belong to their owners and rights holders. Downloading a file with Aurora Tube does not give you any rights in it.

11. Notice to rights holders

Aurora Tube hosts no files or videos, so there is no content on our servers to take down. If you believe Aurora Tube is being used to infringe your rights, or you have another concern about the Service, please email us at officialcontact022@gmail.com with the details. We review every report and act on accounts that break these Terms.

12. Updates to the Service

We update the extension and the Helper to fix problems, keep up with changes on websites and add features. Some updates are needed for Aurora Tube to keep working. We may also stop supporting a particular site, for example if it adds DRM protection or its terms change.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Aurora Tube at any time by uninstalling the extension and the Helper. If you have Aurora Pro, cancel your subscription as well so you are not charged again.

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms (for example, by using Aurora Tube to infringe others' rights), if we are required to by law, or to protect users or the Service. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we end your access without a good reason under these Terms, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid Aurora Pro period.

14. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Aurora Tube reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will work with every website, file or video, or that a particular site will stay supported. Download speed and the ability to resume depend on the server you download from, how many connections it allows and your internet connection, which we do not control, so we do not promise any particular speed. Please keep your own copies of important files.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Aurora Tube is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for Aurora Tube in the 12 months before the claim.

You are responsible for how you use the content you download. If a third party makes a claim against Aurora Tube because you used the Service in breach of these Terms or infringed their rights, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that result, to the extent the law allows.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

16. Governing terms and disputes

If you have a problem with Aurora Tube, please email us first. Most issues can be solved quickly and informally.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Aurora Tube is operated. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of your home country where that law allows. For billing matters, Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply.

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not give it up.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will tell you on this website or in the extension before it takes effect. If you continue to use Aurora Tube after the change, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
